Primrose Palette is another print that was brought to Canton for processing and proofing in March, 1968, but the edition was not pulled until several years later. Other aspects of life intervened. This print presents a delicate potted primrose and one of Sondra's porcelain water color palettes casually (maybe precariously) resting on a folded cloth.

A Closer Look ... Primrose Pallette

Sondra manages to get a full range of tones and texture out of just a few square inches of a print. There are the deepest blacks here, the lightest grays and there is a lot happening in between.

A porcelain palette, blobs of water color paint, a piece of fabric, a plastic pot and a wooden table top all meet in this detail.
