Jack Beal made the drawing for this lithograph as he sat outside the Art Department at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, on an afternoon in July, 1973. Old oak trees have no problem capturing Jack's attention. Gunnison Chapel, seen in the background in this lithograph, unfortunately lost its spire in an October 6, 2013 fire.
